CHRIS DANIELS AND THE KINGSColorado’s favorite dance band will play rock ‘n’ roll, R & B and other favorites featuring their showy horn section. They have toured America & Europe and appeared with the Beach Boys, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, & Ziggy Marley – just to name a few. The Kings' upbeat music is designed to make people smile as they head for the dance floor, and they succeeded on 1998's "Louie Louie," a collection of jump blues and swing done in tribute to Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and Louis Armstrong. Now in their 24th year, they headline the kick off of the 24th Annual Summerset Festival .

This band combines funk, rock, and soul influences from Aretha Franklin to James Brown to create their hip shaking sound. They are fueled by the powerful vocals of Jessica Rowand, making this band's sound stand out from the rest. The rhythm section throws down the funkiest of grooves while adding some amazing guitar riffs. An electrifying performance by this band brings excitement to every occasion. Check out their Web site.
Local boys from South Denver, The Heyday formed in the spring of 2006, when singer-songwriter Randy Ramirez and pianist Jeff Appareti parted ways with their former
Americana-roots project aptly-named "Like Chasing Wind." Shortly after, guitarist Brian Martin and drummer Sean Bennett began sneaking away from their other bands to develop the Heyday's sound in Appareti's parents' basement. Spring turned to summer, and Pete Wynn, a friend of Bennett, took over as bassist. The newly formed quintet decided to forego any live performances and write for the remainder of the summer, honing their soulful sound into an honest but radio-friendly new take on rock and roll. They soon saved their money and hit the recording studio for their first demo. By no surprise, they caught the eye of local producers and recorded a full length album. The result is a solid, wonderfully constructed 10 song effort by this mostly-teenage outfit. The band calls them fit for "the drive home with your friends on the last night of summer," but these radio-ready tunes are destined for bigger things. Welcome to Summerset boys – welcome home! Check out their Web site for more information.

Face has made several appearances at the Rocky Mountain Regional Harmony Sweepstakes, winning many awards, as well as for Audience Favorite. Their onstage antics, combined talents and musical expertise rock the house! These six guys are now poised to make even more noise on the national scene. Just watch! Check out their Web site.
